Reference product photograph: Sheer Scallop Trim: Where Should the Lining Stop?
All4Lace catalogue photograph used as a visual reference. Confirm the actual sample, colour and construction before ordering.

A transparent scalloped border can lose its effect if the lining extends to every outer tip, yet an abrupt lining stop may show as a hard stripe. Decide the boundary on a garment sample using the actual lining colour and base fabric.

    Read the construction

Lay the trim over its proposed lining and a contrasting background. Mark the solid attachment zone, mesh openings and outer scallop. Photograph where the lining ends relative to a full motif; do not judge transparency from a white product backdrop.

    Test the intended placement

Sew one sample with the lining ending behind the attachment zone and another at the proposed lower boundary. Hold each against the body form or relevant background under normal lighting. Inspect front, back and movement for an unintended visible line or exposed seam allowance.

    Write the approval record

Approve one lining boundary on a full-width photograph with stitch line and scallop tips marked. State if the border must remain transparent at every size. Recheck when lining colour changes, because the same placement can read differently.
