Embroidery and Lace Samples: What Buyers Should Confirm

A stock sample helps you assess an existing product. A custom development sample helps you evaluate a design made for your project. Before requesting either from Zhijin, agree on what the sample needs to demonstrate and how much material is required for your review. That makes the sample request more useful than simply asking for a sample without a product reference.

Choose between a stock sample and a development sample

For an existing style, send the All4Lace product code or product page and the color you want to see. Our team will check sample availability. Stock and color availability can change because products are sold through both online and offline channels.

For a new design, send artwork, reference pictures or a physical sample, together with the intended application, width or dimensions and material preferences. A custom sample needs a confirmed development brief; it should not be treated as an immediately available stock item.

Confirm the sample format and quantity

Specify whether you need a length of lace or fabric, or a number of individual appliqués or decorative pieces. Explain the review you plan to carry out and discuss the required amount with the sales team.

For imitation hand-crochet embroidered lace, a two-yard development sample is one example in our sampling information. Other products may use a different length or piece count. Do not assume that one sample quantity applies to every product. If you need more material, agree on that before development starts.

Discuss sample charges and freight separately

For stock samples, the charge depends on the style and quantity. For custom development, special materials, complicated embroidery or additional sample length can affect the cost. Ask for the applicable sample charge rather than assuming all samples are free.

The buyer usually pays sample shipping. Confirm the delivery address and shipping arrangement so that the sample charge and freight are clear before dispatch.

Allow for development and delivery time

Sampling time varies with the product. Around seven working days is an indicative development period for an imitation hand-crochet lace example, subject to the confirmed design, materials and production arrangement.

Ask when sample development can start and when dispatch is expected. Courier transit is additional to development time. If the sample must arrive before a design review or launch decision, share that date at the beginning.

Review the sample against an agreed checklist

Use the physical sample to discuss the pattern, color, material, dimensions and overall workmanship. For beaded or sequined designs, also review the attachment and appearance of the decorative elements. A photograph can support communication, but it does not replace a physical color or size reference.

Keep a record of the accepted sample and list any requested revisions. Before placing the bulk order, reconfirm the specification, quantity, packing and delivery schedule so that sample feedback is carried into the order.
