Can Sequin Trim Follow a Curved Neckline? Make a Sewn Trial

A sparkling tape that looks flexible on a roll may bunch on an inner curve or open on an outer one. The decision depends on its header, decorative edge and the actual neckline radius, not on a photograph of a straight strip. Make the approval on the garment construction.
Read the construction
Lay a short length along the paper pattern without stretching it. Note which edge would sit inside the curve, where sequins overlap and whether the pattern reverses direction. If forcing the tape flat creates ripples, a different width or segmented placement may be preferable.
Test the intended placement
Baste the trim to a sample neckline with the planned backing and lining. Turn the seam as intended and inspect the front, underside and skin-contact edge. Move the sample through normal wear positions; look for lifted motifs, hard sequin edges and changes to the neckline shape.
Write the approval record
Agree where the design starts and ends, how corners or closures interrupt it and whether a visible join is acceptable. Keep a marked photo of the approved stitched sample beside the trim reference. Do not specify minimum bend radius without a physical trial.
